Farm stand menu for June 2nd

Farm News
A heads up about possible rain on Saturday (I can dream, can’t I?). If we should be so fortunate the rain date will be Sunday, same time, same place. As a reminder, the farm stand is open from 9 am until sold out (usually noon or 1 pm).
On June 9th a documentary film crew will be coming to the farm stand and then later filming an interview in the garden where we’ll be discussing the nonprofit farm and its mission. The film features five people doing innovative things in the sustainable arena. I’m the only farmer. It will be shown during Live Earth, hosted by Al Gore.
According to the website (www.liveearth.org): "Live Earth is a 24-hour, 7-continent series of 9 concerts taking place on 7/7/07 that will bring together more than 100 music artists and 2 billion people to trigger a global movement to solve the climate crisis."
Cool, huh? In addition, the film will be shown to college students across the country to inspire them to become more involved in protecting the environment and to seek careers in sustainable businesses or organizations. I hope we’ll have a good showing that Saturday and feel free to wear your favorite "green" message t-shirt — Gettin’ Lucky in Kentucky works too!
Also, the summer issue of Keeneland Magazine has a feature article with lots of nice photos of the farm by award-winning photographer Matt Goins. I don’t know how I’ve been blessed with so many articles of late but I’m truly grateful. Who needs a publicist when word of mouth works so well!
This week’s Menu:

Local Yellow & Green Zucchini
