All I can say is that it’s a good thing the garden is in a remote location as I do sing. Loudly. Lately it’s been “Blister in the Sun” by the Violent Femmes (a far cry from “Some Enchanted Evening” to be sure), which is pretty much all suggestive lyrics but it sums up what it feels like to be weeding a Kentucky garden in July. And since we have a gravel road to the garden there’s “Car Wheels on a Gravel Road” by Lucinda Williams though I change the words to “Truck Wheels” or “Tractor Wheels” depending on what’s a coming.

I’m also partial to Bill Monroe’s “Working on a Building,” when I’m swinging a hoe as it seems like the perfect chain gang song. I’ll upload a song soon when I find a copy of it.
